Retail and Distribution Sales Lead

Role Overview

  • The Retail & Distribution Sales Lead will be responsible for driving sales revenue through our owned retail platforms (online and physical), third-party retail partners, and an extensive distribution channel comprising AV dealers, installers, cooperatives, real estate developers, and trade partners. The ideal candidate is a commercially astute, results-driven leader with a proven track record of delivering sales targets and building scalable multi-channel networks.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Growth & Sales Target Achievement

  • Lead revenue generation across all retail and distribution channels to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Monitor sales pipelines, optimize conversion rates, and proactively manage underperformance.

Retail & Channel Network Development

  • Build, expand, and nurture a robust network of retail outlets, AV dealers, distributors, and institutional trade partners.
  • Drive recruitment and onboarding of new partners aligned with market coverage and business expansion objectives.

Route-to-Market (RTM) & Channel Strategy Execution

  • Develop and implement effective RTM strategies for both existing and new products.
  • Optimize territory coverage, product availability, pricing structures, and promotional campaigns.
  • Ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and distribution operations.

Retail Operations Oversight

  • Oversee daily retail operations across physical outlets and online platforms.
  • Ensure adherence to sales processes, inventory management, merchandising standards, and customer service protocols.

Trade Marketing & Activation Management

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and execute in-store promotions, trade activations, and consumer engagement initiatives.
  • Maximize in-market brand visibility and sell-out opportunities.

Sales Reporting, Forecasting & Market Intelligence

  • Track channel performance metrics, analyze sales data, and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Maintain competitor intelligence and market trend analysis to support strategic planning.

Team Leadership & Sales Force Management

  • Recruit, coach, and lead a high-performing retail and field sales team.
  • Set clear KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a results-driven, collaborative sales culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of progressive sales leadership experience in consumer electronics, lifestyle tech, FMCG, or allied sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage multi-channel retail and distribution networks.
  • Strong expertise in RTM strategy development, trade partner management, and field team leadership.
  • Solid analytical skills in forecasting, pricing strategy, and market intelligence.
  • Prior experience managing sales P&L or contributing to commercial business planning is a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed.
