Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of British/Montessori and Islamic curricula is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and school management systems.
  • Strong commitment to academic excellence and moral education.

Method of Application

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily inspections and routine maintenance of school facilities including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and play areas.
  • Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, fixtures, doors, windows, furniture, and fittings as required.
  • Maintain generators, water tanks, AC units, fans, and other equipment to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Identify and report major repair needs to the school management for action.
  • Supervise third-party contractors or artisans when carrying out repairs or installations.
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of tools and materials.
  • Monitor the school’s water supply, electrical systems, and sanitation infrastructure.
  • Implement health and safety practices and assist in emergency repairs.
  • Maintain records of maintenance tasks and report completed work weekly.
  • Support school activities and logistics, including moving furniture and setting up for events.

Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE; Technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields is an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in general facility maintenance or related role.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects when required.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management.
  • Honest, hardworking, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Understanding of health and safety standards and emergency procedures.
  • Basic recordkeeping and reporting ability.
