Key Responsibilities
IT Systems and Infrastructure Support:
- Manage and maintain company IT systems, including computers, printers, networks, and software applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
- Install, configure, and update software and hardware as needed.
- Ensure regular system backups and enforce cybersecurity best practices.
- Manage company email systems for secure and efficient communication.
- Maintain an asset inventory of IT equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements.
Website and Digital Platform Technical Support:
- Coordinate with web developers or vendors for website maintenance, hosting, and technical improvements.
- Monitor website performance, uptime, and security compliance.
- Implement data protection and access control protocols across digital systems.
Data and Systems Security:
- Implement and monitor IT security measures, including antivirus, firewalls, and user access control.
- Ensure data protection and compliance with ICT and privacy policies.
- Conduct periodic security audits and risk assessments.
Staff IT Support and Training:
- Provide first-line IT support for employees (hardware/software/network issues).
- Conduct basic training sessions for staff on the use of IT tools and company systems.
- Escalate major technical issues to vendors or advanced support teams when necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
- HND or BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in IT support, network administration, or systems maintenance.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Office 365, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with website management (WordPress or similar CMS).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and data backup solutions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Job Summary
- The Biomedical Engineer Intern will support the technical team in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of medical and laboratory equipment.
- This internship provides hands-on experience in biomedical engineering operations, offering exposure to equipment handling, calibration, troubleshooting, and client support within a healthcare technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Support and Maintenance:
- Assist engineers in installing and testing medical and diagnostic equipment at client sites.
- Support preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting under supervision.
- Help document maintenance reports and calibration records.
- Observe and learn manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and operating procedures.
Technical Learning and Support:
- Participate in product and equipment training sessions organized by OEM partners and in-house experts.
- Assist in preparing equipment for demonstrations and product presentations.
- Provide basic technical support to clients and internal users under supervision.
Quality and Compliance:
- Learn and adhere to biomedical engineering safety protocols and company standards.
- Support documentation for technical reports, service logs, and compliance checklists.
- Observe testing and performance verification procedures for medical devices.
Inventory and Operations Assistance:
- Help maintain the technical inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Support warehouse and operations teams in equipment packaging, dispatch, and delivery.
- Assist with record-keeping of incoming and outgoing technical materials.
Client and Team Support:
- Accompany engineers on site visits and client service calls.
- Observe and assist in providing after-sales technical support.
- Uphold professionalism and represent Sixthlab positively in all client interactions.
Qualifications
- OND / HND / B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- No prior work experience required; project experience in biomedical or healthcare technology is an advantage.
- Internship period required should not be less than 6 months.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Basic understanding of biomedical or laboratory equipment.
- Strong interest in technical, mechanical, and diagnostic systems.
- Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work in a team.
