Location:Omi Adio (Apata axis) – Ibadan, Oyo
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
- Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
- Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
- Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc.)
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
Requirements and skills
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational(technical)school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
- Proven experience as Mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
- Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Very good communication skills
- A problem-solving ability
- Very good physical strength and stamina.
Salary
N120,000 per month.

Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures in accordance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
- Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify defects, faults, or malfunctions, and diagnose issues using testing equipment and tools.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems, such as power outages, short circuits, and voltage fluctuations, and implement corrective actions to restore functionality.
- Install and configure electrical systems and equipment, such as lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels, following manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting electrical components and systems, to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability.
- Test electrical systems and components for proper operation, voltage, current, and resistance, using multimeters, voltage testers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to coordinate electrical work and ensure integration with other building systems and construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, codes, and standards, including National Electrical Code (NEC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, and local building codes.
- Install and maintain grounding systems, surge protectors, and electrical safety devices to protect against electrical hazards, shocks, and fires.
- Provide technical guidance and support to apprentices, helpers, or junior electricians, mentoring them in proper electrical techniques, practices, and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports, documenting repairs, modifications, and upgrades.
- Keep abreast of advancements in electrical technology, equipment, and regulations, participating in training programs, seminars, and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Respond to emergency service calls, power outages, or electrical emergencies promptly, troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following proper procedures for handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials, and adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical work is required.
- Journeyman or master electrician license/certification is preferred; must meet state or local licensing requirements for practicing as an electrician.
- Proven experience as an electrician, with a track record of performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards, including NEC, OSHA, and local building codes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan and execute electrical work accurately.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Familiarity with electrical tools, equipment, and materials, such as wire strippers, pliers, conduit benders, voltage testers, and circuit analyzers.
- Attention to detail and precision in performing electrical installations, connections, and terminations, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and outdoor conditions, and ability to lift heavy objects and equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
