Job Summary

  • The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and optimize product sales across domestic and international markets.
  • The role requires strong knowledge of the mining value chain, commodity markets, pricing mechanisms, customer relationship management, and regulatory compliance within the solid minerals sector.
  • The successful candidate will lead sales planning, contract negotiations, market intelligence, branding, and customer engagement to ensure sustainable profitability and long-term market positioning of the company’s mineral products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for coal and/or metallic mineral products in line with company objectives.
  • Identify and secure new customers, distributors, off-takers, and strategic partners locally and internationally.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective pricing strategies, volume optimization, and contract management.
  • Prepare and negotiate sales agreements, supply contracts, and memoranda of understanding (MOUs).
  • Conduct market research to analyze demand trends, pricing benchmarks, competitor activities, and emerging markets.
  • Monitor global commodity prices and advise management on market opportunities and risks.
  • Identify new applications and value-added opportunities for mineral products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government agencies, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues, complaints, and delivery challenges.
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to strengthen brand visibility and market penetration.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs, and investor forums.
  • Oversee marketing materials, product presentations, and corporate communications related to sales activities.
  • Work closely with mine operations to align production planning with market demand and sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with finance to manage invoicing, receivables, credit controls, and revenue reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, export, and documentation requirements related to mineral sales.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the sales and marketing team to achieve performance targets.
  • Prepare periodic sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analysis for management review.
  • Set KPIs and monitor team performance against agreed targets.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor`s Degree with 7 – 10 years experience.
