Job Description
- The Business Development Officer at Mitera Health HMO will be instrumental in driving growth by identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our member base.
- This role involves developing and executing strategies to introduce Mitera Health’s innovative health-tech-insurance solutions to new corporate clients, individual members, and healthcare providers, fostering sustainable business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and evaluate new business opportunities and target markets for Mitera Health HMO’s services and products.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets and expand market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients (e.g., corporations, SMEs), brokers, and healthcare providers.
- Conduct presentations and demonstrations of Mitera Health’s Mapp mobile application and health plans to prospective clients.
- Negotiate and close new business deals, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing, Underwriting, and Operations teams to develop tailored solutions and ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and members.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify challenges and opportunities. • Prepare detailed proposals, reports, and sales forecasts for management.
- Represent Mitera Health HMO at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and customer acquisition strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related f ield. An MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in business development, sales, or account management, with a strong track record of achieving targets. Experience in the healthcare, insurance, or health-tech sectors is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of sales principles, negotiation tactics, and customer relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills to identify market trends and evaluate business opportunities.
- Exceptional presentation, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and business intelligence tools.
- Ability to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
