Job Summary

  • The Team lead, Collaboration Engineer shall be responsible to lead Presales activities involving solutions around Collaboration (Solution Architecting and Technology Sales) deliverables in the company.
  • He is to coordinate his team’s activities and ensure bids and solutions inquiries are attended to within the time committed to meeting customer business outcomes at the best possible price.
  • He ensures the submission to bid desk/Sales account managers/executives is of high quality and positions ITH for a win against her competition.
  • The technology focus is Collaboration and any technology solutions the company takes up at any time.
  • He constantly advises the business on evolving technologies based on market trends and customer requests.
  • He is responsible for driving OEM/vendor/Distributor engagement to ensure ITH is at the appropriate partnership level supporting her Business with customers.
  • He is responsible for his financial target.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all the unit’s Presales activities (Solution Architecting and Technology Sales on Collaboration).
  • Lead and ensure the proper and cost-effective solution is always proposed to the customer.
  • Directs the team to support sales in achieving company technology financial targets.
  • Manage relationships and partnerships with OEMs, Vendors and Distributors.
  • Plan and deliver technology workshops to customers to generate business opportunities.
  • Constantly provide leadership and develop the team per market needs for technology delivery and global technology trends.
  • Provides technical support for the Sales and Implementation in the review of new business.
  • Builds relationships with customers and global partners, especially with Team Lead, Collaboration, resulting in superior solutions and deeper loyalty and adoption of ITH’s solutions.
  • Perform other duties that the organization may assign.
  • Provides in-depth knowledge and expertise on pre-sales and technical activities/ engagement.
  • Provide the management with Collaboration with reports measuring business performance through data and metrics analysis and develop ways to improve processes.
  • Oversee all research and development in line with the company’s strategic plan and technology activities for enhancing existing and developing new products/services and advising on technical roadmap.
  • Assess the business risks of new technical, commercial and partnership opportunities.

Qualification & Skills

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Technology related courses, Engineering, or other numerate disciplines
  • A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related fields from a recognized University will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years in an ICT Operating environment with hands- on experience in Network Administration, Network Collaboration, LAN/WAN optimization, Project delivery, technical solutions designing, and executive management.

Technical Skills:

  • Core Collaboration Solutions, Call Control and CUBE services (TCP, H323, SIP, SCCP, MGCP, RTP & RTCP and other VOIP protocols).
  • Core routing and switching expertise handling several protocols (VLAN, VTP,STP,BGP,EIGRP,OSPF)
  • Network Monitoring, Analysis, and Troubleshooting using Log Analysis tools like PRTG,Wireshark and Cisco RTMT
  • Technical Implementation and Support Engineer for Cisco UC Cluster Upgrade at Stanbic IBTC and Mainone Services comprising of over 3000 plus IP Telephony endpoints.
  • Technical Solution Architect for Management and Upgrade UC Cluster Upgrade from obsolete models to v12.5 for Heineken Plc.
  • Microsoft Teams Integration with Cisco UC Cluster via Oracle Session Border Controller for Stanbic IBTC Nigeria.
  • Primary Network Engineer for Implementation of CUCM, IMAP, UCCX and Polycom Endpoints at Evercare Hospital, Nigeria.
  • Primary escalation Engineer on the upgrade and migration of UCM v12.5 suite to the WebEx dedicated instance platform of UCMv14.0 su3 comprising of 15 server cluster across three continents and several time zones.
  • Technical Support and Consulting on Hosted Collaboration Solutions (HCS) across Service Providers within the EMEA, APJC & Americas.
  • Understanding of telephony dial plan design, implementation, and call control/routing protocols such as H.323, MGCP, SIP, SCCP, ISDN·Experience with Cisco Collaboration portfolio – CUCM, CUC, IM&P, CMS, Voice Gateways and Expressways
  • Take ownership of customer escalations on low, medium and high severity cases, patches, bug fixes, root cause analysis across a range of collaboration technologies.
  • Working along solution Architects, software engineers on technical issues related with deployed cisco collaboration suite across the EMEA, APJC and Americas.
  • Solutions Architect in the development and Implementation of Enterprise, wireless and Collaboration related solutions across various OEMs including Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, VMware, Polycom, zoom.
  • Technical Support Engineers for Stanbic IBTC UC Cluster comprising of various UCS servers hosting the CUCM Publisher and Subscriber nodes, CUC, IMAP, Expressway, Vcenter, ESXi, PhoneEX One Billing systems and ISRs (Voice Gateways) responsible for E1 and IP Telephony services for the entire Banking Network across Nigeria comprising over 2000+ Telephony devices including video endpoints.
  • Enhanced Meeting solution with the Installation and configuration of MX800 Tele presence Dual Screen and Cisco Spark Room Kit Telepresence Endpoint.
  • Primary Engineer for Deployment of CUCM, IMAP, CUC, UCCE, Expressway Control and Edge Servers, Cisco Meeting Server, Collaboration Applications [Jabber & WebEx] and Call Manager Express solution at various versions for voice, video, voicemail, Telepresence and Conferencing Services.

Position Overview

  • You will be responsible for scoping, designing, and developing the Bill of Materials with pricing for solutions relating to Networks & Collaboration Solution and Intelligent Building Management System.
  • You will architect for other areas of solution as the company deem fit from time to time.
  • Your goal is to win the customer with innovative solutions that solve customers’ problems at a price point that gives competitive edge without compromising quality and integrity.
  • You will interface with external vendors, OEM, and sales team in ensuring optimum performance of the solution areas under your portfolio.
  • You will guide the company on technological trends in areas you manage from time to time.
  • You will be responsible for achieving the financial target of the business for the area of solutions you manage.
  • The performance of the solutions will be evaluated from time to time as deemed fit by the organization.
  • You will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable solutions that are in line with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Speaking with customers via email, phone, physical meetings for initial requirement capture

  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the organization
  • Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within clients.

Qualification & Skills

  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or other related courses or numerate disciplines.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
