Summary

  • This is a full-time on-site role for truck driving in our company.
  • The role involves truck driving, loading and unloading, and ensuring compliance with necessary regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport goods over long distances across diverse terrains.
  • Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain the truck and all related equipment, keeping them in clean and operational condition.
  • Manage and oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring the cargo is secured properly.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and conduct operations in compliance with company policies and road safety regulations.
  • Uphold the security measures for the protection of company assets, including the vehicle, fuel, and transported goods, avoiding any form of theft or misappropriation.
  • Provide feedback to the maintenance team on the vehicle’s condition and collaborate with them for scheduled servicing and repairs.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree / FSLC / OND qualification
  • At least 3 years proven work experience as a trailer truck driver with a minimum of 5 years of long-distance driving, preferably in the long-distance haulage sector.
  • Knowledge and understanding of different types of trailer trucks and their maintenance requirements.
  • Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of driving and manual handling of cargo when necessary.
  • A clean driving record and a valid truck driving license.
  • Strict adherence to security policies is imperative; drivers must not engage in the theft of truck parts, fuel, or other company assets.
  • Vigilance in the protection of company assets and a strong ethic of care towards equipment and goods transported.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications related to truck driving and maintenance are a plus.

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Account Officer who will serve in the capacity of a Credit Control Officer.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, monitoring receivables, and ensuring effective credit control processes to minimize the risk of bad debts and improve cash flow.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Duties:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain ledgers.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
  • Maintain an accurate filing system for financial documents.
  • Monitor petty cash and prepare monthly cash reports.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.

Credit Control Duties:

  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure prompt customer payments.
  • Review customer credit limits and enforce credit control policies.
  • Follow up with clients on overdue invoices and resolve payment issues professionally.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of debtors and generate aging reports.
  • Liaise with the sales and operations teams to ensure credit compliance.
  • Recommend accounts for legal action or write-offs when necessary.
  • Prepare regular reports on credit status and outstanding debts.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in accounting and/or credit control roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices.
  • Good understanding of credit management processes and debt recovery strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax and financial regulations is an advantage.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Team player with a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with customer account reconciliation and documentation processes.
