Position Overview
- We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory / Store Specialist to oversee our inventory management processes from factory to head office, regional offices, and affiliate locations.Â
- The ideal candidate will ensure that inventory is accurately tracked, recorded, and optimized across all stages of the supply chain.Â
- This role also involves supporting procurement activities to maintain an efficient and responsive inventory system.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory operations across all storage locations including factory, central warehouse, and regional offices.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Monitor stock movement and ensure timely restocking based on demand forecasting and sales trends.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory levels, stock transfers, product returns, and damages.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure smooth inter-location transfers and deliveries.
- Handle periodic physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Support procurement by identifying replenishment needs and liaising with vendors for timely orders.
- Generate regular inventory reports and communicate critical insights to management.
- Implement inventory optimization strategies to minimize holding costs and prevent stockouts.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding inventory management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of proven experience in inventory or store management, preferably in FMCG, retail, or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of supply chain procedures and inventory software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of procurement practices is an added advantage.
