Job Description

  • IGCSE Physics Teachers are responsible for delivering the Cambridge International curriculum to secondary school students. They create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster a learning environment that promotes critical thinking and academic excellence.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Delivery: Teach IGCSE Physics in alignment with Cambridge standards.
  • Lesson Planning: Design and implement structured lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including mock exams and the IGCSE exams.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain discipline and create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Student Support: Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training, workshops, and school events to stay updated with educational best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work with other teachers, parents, and school leadership to support student learning and school goals.

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Phyiscs, Education, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Certifications: Cambridge IGCSE training or certification is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum: 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IGCSE curriculum school.
  • Preferred: Experience preparing students for IGCSE exams with a proven track record of academic success.

Essential Skills:

  • Subject Mastery: Strong knowledge of IGCSE Physics content.
  • Instructional Skills: Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to student needs.
  • Assessment Literacy: Skilled in designing and grading assessments aligned with IGCSE standards.
  • Classroom Management: Effective strategies for maintaining student engagement and discipline.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with digital tools for teaching, assessment, and communication.
