Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Officer to oversee the management, coordination, and documentation of all company vehicles and logistics operations.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient utilization, maintenance, and tracking of all sales vehicles, as well as providing seamless support for the company’s logistics and supply chain functions.
  • This role requires someone with strong analytical, planning, and communication skills who can work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of all company sales vehicles.
  • Maintain up-to-date vehicle records including registration, insurance, maintenance logs, and drivers’ information.
  • Ensure timely servicing, repairs, and roadworthiness of all vehicles.
  • Track and manage fuel consumption, mileage, and performance reports.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to vehicle policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with vendors, mechanics, and regulatory agencies for vehicle-related needs.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Support sales teams with vehicle allocation and routing for optimal efficiency.
  • Supervise drivers and ensure compliance with company logistics policies.
  • Maintain effective communication between the logistics department and other units to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate procurement and movement of materials, supplies, and company assets.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and complete logistics documentation including waybills, dispatch notes, and delivery records.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on vehicle usage, logistics performance, and cost analysis.
  • Ensure proper filing and digital backup of all logistics and vehicle documents.
  • Monitor compliance with company standards, government regulations, and safety requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in logistics operations and vehicle management (preferably in a manufacturing or distribution company).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple vehicles and coordinate logistics activities efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of Lagos routes and Nigerian transport regulations.
  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Integrity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of accountability.
