Marine Advisor II

Main Functions
- Works to assure the safe and efficient turnaround of gas carriers and condensate tankers. This will include assisting with the management and oversight of all associated critical contractors including tug, and port services providers.
Task and Responsibilities
In addition to all Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, Level 2:
- Advising on pre-job planning and writing procedures
- Performing Risk Assessment
- Being the client field representative offshore on marine activities advising Lead Drilling Supervisor or
- Completion Supervisor i.e. D&C PIC.
- Conduct post job debrief and submit post job report.
- Conduct rig move activities
Skills and Qualifications
- University degree required
- Have led a minimum of 10 (ten) Jack Up rig moves at platform operations
- Prior marine experience as a senior officer position – required
- Master Mariners license – required
- Experience in the company operations organization – preferred
- Have experience in performing rig inspection for marine related equipment.
- Candidates without the above requirements will be considered, dependent on experience.
- Strong culture of ‘Nobody Gets Hurt’
- Expert knowledge of current large tanker applied mooring operations and best practices
- Strong knowledge of applied Operations Integrity Systems, specifically oi 8-1
Specific Requirements:
- Prior marine experience as a senior officer position – required
- Master Mariners license – required
- Experience in the company operations organization – preferred

- Have experience in performing rig inspection for marine related equipment.

Method of Application
Main Functions
- Prepare detailed engineering designs and coordinate all phases of planning and completing a well
- Ensure the geological and reservoir objectives of the well are met while assuring the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection are applied to the well design and execution.
- Prepare designs and well plans representing the optimal costs and investments for the wells.
- In a Technical role, provide review and support to Drill team designs and operations described in the
- MainÂFunctionsÂabove, as well as evaluate and progress new technology. Could include subsea technology.
Task and Responsibilities
In addition to the Level 1 and 2 tasks, a Level 3 Completions Engineer must:
- Facilitate the preparation and monitor capital budgets relating to completions and well design.
- Ensure accurate and sustainable quality of data for timing projects
- Interact daily with completion foreman, drilling leadership, etc.
- Interact with completion Service Company representing to improve efficiency operations and cost out lays
- Identify and apply industry best practices as applicable
- Work in conjunction with safety, environmental and field operations personnel to optimize safety performance.
Requirements
- B.Sc Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline with 12+ years of experience
- Broad and extensive knowledge of completions design, equipment, operations, standards and specifications.
- This could include subsea systems technology.
- Strong personal effectiveness in leadership, communications, interpersonal skills, and teamwork
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
- Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
- Specific Requirements
- Legacy MPN offshore and regional well construction experience preferred
- Extensive experience with jack up rig operations
- Currently working actively as a senior completion / wells engineer.
