We are looking for a Procurement Team Lead to oversee and manage our procurement operation, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services while maintaining strong vendor relationships. The Ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and deep understanding of Supply chain Management, developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership: Guide, manage, and mentor the procurement team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and cost-saving goals.
- Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms, and maintain strong, long-term vendor relationships.
- Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including requisitions, purchasing, receiving, and invoicing.
- Cost Control: Monitor budgets, Analyse procurement expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, relevant laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Performance Improvement: Monitor supplier and team performance, identify areas for process improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and cost savings to management.
REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s and master\’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in Purchasing construction and mechanical tool is an added advantage.
- 5 + years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- 2 + years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suites
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Procurement regulations and compliance standards
- Experience with supplier relationship management
