Job description

  • Oversee and evaluate day to day operations
  • Identify new market opportunities to accelerate growth
  • Manage staff to increase productivity
  • Plan, schedule and supervise bakery production, shipping and cleaning activities to highest safety and sanitation standards.
  • Enforce and implement disciplinary measures as stated in our staff handbook for staff members
  • Supervise, evaluate, train and schedule work of bakery staff.
  • Be responsible for consolidation of product orders from users.
  • Ensure the proper use and care of highly specialized production equipment by staff.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and SOPs by every staff of the bakery.
  • Quality control checks before, during and after every step of the production process.
  • Minimize waste of any resources as much as possible.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

WHO IS AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Have at least A B.sc qualification or an equivalent.
  • Must be hardworking, respectful, firm, diligent and available to put in time to ensure that the organizational goals are achieved.
  • Must be experienced in handling people and the operations of a fast growing organisation.
  • Must be living in close proximity to the bakery.
  • Can be either Male or Female.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, pay attention to details.
  • Ability to lead teams to success.
  • Strategic planning and business development experience.
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement activities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills and excellent time management skills.

Method of Application

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing, mixing, and portioning bakery products according to recipes and standards.
  • Support bakers in baking, decorating, and packaging products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area, tools, and equipment.
  • Weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients as needed.
  • Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Assist with stock rotation, inventory, and receiving supplies.
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Baker or Production Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a bakery, kitchen, or food production environment is an advantage (but not mandatory, training will be provided).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions carefully.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays when required.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle bakery equipment.
