Haulage Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and monitor truck movement to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate vehicle dispatch based on logistics requirements and delivery priorities.
- Monitor real-time vehicle tracking and address route issues as needed.
- Ensure optimal vehicle utilization across all routes and projects.
- Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of all trucks and haulage vehicles.
- Work closely with in-house technicians or external service providers to resolve breakdowns promptly.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure vehicle roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Approve and monitor repair costs, spare part usage, and servicing schedules.
- Manage and supervise drivers, mechanics, and other haulage personnel.
- Ensure compliance with driving and operational policies, including safety and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date records for each vehicle, including service history, fuel consumption, and operational logs.
- Ensure compliance with transport laws and internal policies.
- Monitor fuel usage and vehicle efficiency to minimize waste and costs.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 6–8years relevant experience in fleet or haulage operations, with at least 4years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with corporate organizations, government agencies, transport/logistics companies, and NGOs.
- Conduct market research to understand client needs and emerging trends in driver training and road safety.
- Effective management of the team members
- Establish partnerships with relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., FRSC, VIO), transport associations, and large fleet operators.
- Represent the institute at industry events, exhibitions, safety forums, and road shows.
- Collaborate with marketing and training teams to develop outreach campaigns and promotional materials.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales/revenue targets.
- Provide regular performance reports and business forecasts to management.
- Prepare professional proposals, bid documents, and service agreements.
- Negotiate terms and close contracts in line with the institute’s policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Transport Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 – 10years of business development or B2B sales experience
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and building strategic partnerships.
