About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Superintendent to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of all production processes within our plastic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in quality inspection and control, with a solid understanding of manufacturing operational standards and safety procedures in a plastics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily quality control operations and ensure adherence to company standards, product specifications, and industry regulations.
  • Inspect and evaluate raw materials, in-process production, and finished products for quality compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance procedures and testing protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify root causes of quality issues and recommend solutions.
  • Conduct regular audits of processes to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Support training programs for production staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and promote a culture of safety across the plant.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in quality inspection and control within a plastic manufacturing company or closely related industry.
  • Proven ability to manage quality systems, inspections, and audits.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Good understanding of ISO standards and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices will be an added advantage. (with a proven certificate i.e. in HSE 1, 2 and 3)
  • Must be willing to relocate and work on-site in Onitsha.
