The Quality Control Expert will be responsible for implementing and overseeing all quality assurance and food safety protocols within the processing unit and across the farm’s value chain. This role is essential for ensuring that all products, from raw materials to finished goods, meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control standards and procedures for all products, ensuring compliance with both company policies and national regulations (e.g., NAFDAC).
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on incoming raw materials, in-process products, and final packaged goods to verify quality, purity, and safety.
- Monitor and audit the processing and packaging lines to ensure operational procedures are followed correctly and to identify any potential quality deviations.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all quality checks, test results, and audit reports for traceability and analysis.
- Investigate and report on quality issues or non-conformances, working with the production team to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Train and mentor processing unit staff on proper hygiene, sanitation, and quality control procedures to foster a culture of quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 8 – 10 years of proven experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in the food processing or agricultural industry.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System).
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description
- Oversee the regular inspection, maintenance, and repair of all farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters, planters, and other heavy equipment.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of all mechanical assets.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and perform timely repairs in the field or workshop to ensure continuous farm operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and new technology adoption to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance work, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
8 – 10 years of experience, preferably in a processing plant. - Proven experience in a hands-on mechanical engineering role, preferably within an agricultural or heavy machinery environment.
- Strong knowledge of farm equipment, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced outdoor environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards.
