Coating Supervisor

Job Summary:

  • The Coating Supervisor will be responsible for supervising surface preparation, coating, and painting activities to ensure the protection of piping, structures, and equipment from corrosion and environmental exposure.
  • This role ensures compliance with approved work pack, overseeing contractor performance and unblocking SIMOPS related challenges during execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and site briefings to align work priorities.
  • Oversee surface preparation methods onsite across assigned work locations
  • Ensure proper selection and application of coatings, primers, and corrosion protection systemfollowing approved work packs.
  • Ensure coatings are applied as per specifications, including DFT (Dry Film Thickness)measurement, adhesion testing, and curing verification
  • Identify defects, improper applications, or non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous coating materials (e.g., epoxy, polyurethane, zinc coatings).
  • Supervise and coordinate contractor personnel and coating crews, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
  • Track and report material usage, wastage, and reordering requirements.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • HND or bachelor’s degree in engineering or sciences.3 years of experience in industrial coating, corrosion protection, and field supervision within  LNG, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
  • Strong knowledge of coating types and application techniques.
  • Familiarity with international standards
  • NACE or SSPC certification (CIP Level 1, 2, or 3) is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for report generation.

Job Summary:

  • The Contracts and Costs Specialist will be responsible for contract management, cost control, and financial oversight of fabric maintenance projects.
  • This role ensures that contracting strategies, procurement processes, and cost management frameworks align with corporate policies, budgetary constraints, and international best practices.
  • The specialist will oversee contract administration, cost estimation, budget tracking, and financial reporting, ensuring cost efficiency and risk mitigation across all fabric maintenance and revamp activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in the development, reviewing, and bid stages up to contract award
  • Ensure effective contract execution by monitoring contractor performance, deliverables, and  adherence to SLAs.
  • Support in contract amendments, claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Develop cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for maintenance projects.
  • Prepare budgetary reports, cash flow projections, and financial performance summaries.
  • Maintain accurate records of contract approvals, change orders, and financial transactions.
  • Track and report KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) related to contract compliance, cost  efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Conduct audits, cost reviews and financial reconciliations to prevent cost overrun and  contractual disputes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Sciences, or Engineering.
  • 3 years’ experience in contract management, cost control, within the LNG, oil & gas, energy or  manufacturing sector.
  • Understanding of contract drafting, cost estimation, financial planning, and vendor  negotiations.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian local content policies (NCDMB), and applicable contracting provisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
