Purpose of the Role
- Safe Space Supervisor will oversee activities in Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS), ensuring alignment with GBV minimum standards, and coordinate community-based support for adolescent girls and women survivors of GBV.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and supervise Center Facilitators in running WGSS activities.
- Support enrolment and participation of women and girls in safe space sessions.
- Conduct participatory activities to identify challenges and coping mechanisms.
- Compile weekly reports on safe space activities.
- Maintain up-to-date inventories of safe space equipment.
- Work closely with CP and GBV caseworkers, and A2WG/AGUF staff.
- Apply Do No Harm, community-centred approachin all interactions.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Technical Expertise and Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences, Gender, Development Studies, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience supervising or facilitating community-based activities.
- Knowledge of GBV prevention, safe space programming, and protection principles.
- Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
- Fluency in Hausaand Kanuriis mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
