Job Summary:

• The IT Officer will be responsible for maintaining the hospital’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth network operations, and providing technical support to staff. The role requires a hands-on professional who can troubleshoot, secure, and enhance IT systems to support the hospital’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and servers.
• Monitor and maintain hospital IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Provide first-line support and resolve technical issues for end-users.
• Ensure data protection, backup, and recovery systems are in place.
• Manage hospital IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist in the implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to maintain and improve IT infrastructure.
• Train staff on the use of IT systems, applications, and security best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as an IT Officer, System Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Hands-on experience with IT security, data backup, and recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with hospital management systems (added advantage).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
