IT Officer
Responsibilities
- Install and manage hardware and software solutions.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, including CAT5/6 cabling, wireless networks, network switches, WAN/LAN, domain controller, Active Directory, firewall and VPN applications.
- Set up new users’ accounts and profiles.
- Prepare & Implement Preventive Maintenance Schedule for all IT hardware & Software.
- Maintain error logs and analyze records to spot underlying trends and potential issues.
- End of Day / End of Month / End-of-year Processing.
- Resolve all windows OS and Microsoft office license issues and ensure that antivirus software are fully up to date.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement data backup and recovery procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy regulations.
- Management of Security Devices.
- Provide technical support to users who are experiencing problems with their computers or software.
- Train Staff on Banking Software, cybersecurity awareness and Computer Applications
- Maintain documents and files (e.g. SLAs, Receipts)
- Develop and enforce IT policies, best practices, and user guidelines to enhance IT operations.
- Liaise with I.T. Vendors/Technicians/Software provider/ISP Provider.
- Any other duties that may be assign by Head, Information Technology.
Requirements
- OND, HND qualifications, or B.Sc Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in IT Field preferably in a financial institution.
- Hands on experience with computer networkand Network administration.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, and IT best practices.
