Investment Operations Officer
Job Summary
- The Investment Operations Officer at Blue Marina Asset Management Limited is responsible for executing and supporting day-to-day investment operations, client transactions, and portfolio administration activities. The role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all investment-related processes while supporting the delivery of excellent client service and operational efficiency across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle onboarding of new clients and updates for existing clients, ensuring all required documentation is duly vetted and processed in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Process client redemption requests, interest payments, and return distributions promptly and accurately.
- Maintain and update client data, transaction histories, and investment portfolio records within internal systems.
- Execute equity investment mandates, including buy and sell orders, portfolio valuation, reconciliation, and management of CSCS positions through the CSCS portal.
- Manage client communications via telephone, email, and meetings, ensuring timely and professional responses to inquiries.
- Prepare and process investment bids for Commercial Papers (CPs), and other fixed-income instruments.
- Ensure accurate and timely movement of client funds in line with internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Provide periodic transaction updates, investment confirmations, and portfolio performance reports to clients.
- Collaborate with the investment, finance, and compliance teams to ensure smooth settlement, reconciliation, and reporting of transactions.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or any related field.
- ProfessionalCertifications (CFA, CIS, ICAN, ACCA, etc) is an addedadvantage
Experience
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in investment operations, portfolio administration, or related roles within an asset management, investment banking, or financial services firm.
Knowledge
- Good understanding of financial instruments
- Working knowledge of CSCS portal operations, and fund movement procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with portfolio management or investment tracking systems is an added advantage.
Skills
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and internal stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to professional ethics.
