Internal Control & Project Tracking Supervisor

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening internal control systems, conducting risk assessments, tracking project performance, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards and company policies.
  • This role will directly support executive management in making informed decisions while enhancing operational efficiency and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
Internal Control:

  • Develop and implement internal control policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor compliance with project agreements, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Perform regular audits and prepare detailed reports for management.
  • Establish preventive measures against fraud, inefficiencies, and operational errors.

Project Tracking:

  • Monitor multiple projects to ensure timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and achievement of deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to provide real-time project updates.
  • Collect and analyze data on timelines, resources, and outcomes for performance evaluation.
  • Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and clients on progress and risks.
  • Liaise with project teams, consultants, and clients to resolve challenges.

Collaboration & Improvement:

  • Provide support to project managers and consultants for seamless project execution.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Resolution rate of audit issues within defined timelines.
  • Number of policy violations detected and addressed.
  • Timely and accurate reporting on project progress and risks.
  • Percentage of projects delivered on time and within budget.
  • Quality of stakeholder feedback on tracking and control support.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 4 – 6 years of proven experience in internal control, risk management, or project management, preferably within a consulting or client-facing environment.
  • Relevant certifications (ACA, ACCA, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Trello, etc.); strong financial/audit knowledge; advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, analytical thinking, attention to detail, organizational skills, and integrity.
