Position Overview:
- We are hiring a seasoned and qualified Physics teacher certified to teach IGCSE and A-Level programmes. Successful candidate will teach on a contract basis (2 hours/day, 3 times per week) and play a critical role in shaping the academic journey of our sixth-form learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons following Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level standards.
- Teach for 2 hours per day, 3 days per week (6 hours total weekly).
- Prepare learners for both internal assessments and external Cambridge examinations.
- Design and implement lesson plans, schemes of work, assignments, and test materials.
- Track and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and reports.
- Foster a motivating, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and contribute to departmental planning and development.
- Maintain accurate academic records and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or the relevant subject area (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- Recognised teaching certification, ideally with specialisation in IGCSE and/or A-Level instruction (e.g. Cambridge certification, PGCE, TRCN).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching IGCSE and/or A-Level with a strong performance record.
- In-depth knowledge of Cambridge curriculum content, standards, and assessment methods.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using modern teaching tools and educational technology.
Additional Information:
- This is a contract-based, part-time role.
- Shortlisted candidates may be invited to deliver a demo lesson.
- Immediate availability or readiness to begin in the upcoming academic term is preferred.
