Human Resources Officer
Purpose of Role
- The Junior HR Officer will play a vital role in supporting the company’s human resources functions, ensuring effective employee relations, compliance with HR policies, and smooth daily operations.
- This role is essential in managing recruitment processes, maintaining employee records, assisting with performance management, and contributing to employee engagement initiatives, ultimately fostering a positive and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment and onboarding process, including drafting job descriptions, shortlisting, and conducting initial screenings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and compliance with labour laws and regulations.
- Provide support in performance management, appraisals, and training coordination.
- Handle employee queries with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Assist in payroll preparation and ensure timely submission of employee-related data.
- Support staff welfare initiatives, employee engagement programmes, and workplace culture development.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace standards.
- Contribute to HR reporting, metrics, and continuous process improvements.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong knowledge of HR functions, labour regulations, and HR best practices.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace and HR information systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
Qualifications
- HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant HR experience.
- Must be an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).
- Masters Degree is an added advantage.
- Gender neutral, but must not be above 30 years old.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
