Human Resource Manager

Role Summary

  • The Human Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring effective implementation of HR policies, and providing guidance on people management practices.
  • The role focuses on recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, and compliance while supporting the organization’s overall strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Partner with managers to forecast staffing needs.

Performance & Development:

  • Implement and monitor performance management systems.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate staff learning and development programs.
  • Support career growth and succession planning initiatives.

Employee Relations:

  • Promote a positive work environment and strong employee engagement.
  • Handle grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in line with policy.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on HR issues for both staff and management.

HR Policy & Compliance:

  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with Nigerian labour laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Keep HR records and documentation accurate and up to date.

HR Operations & Reporting:

  • Manage HR databases, payroll support, and HRIS systems.
  • Generate HR reports and metrics to inform management decisions.
  • Support organizational projects such as change management and employee engagement surveys.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10-15years of relevant HR experience in a structured organization.
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIHRSM, CIPD) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HR software/HRIS systems is an advantage.
