Job description: Job Description:Location: Lagos, NigeriaWork Schedule: HybridOur client is a leading fintech company licensed to provide international payment solution for businesses in Africa.The client is seeking to hire an experienced and visionary Head of Marketing to lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of all marketing initiatives. This role is pivotal in positioning the brand, driving customer acquisition and retention, and enhancing the company’s visibility and market share in the highly competitive fintech and financial services space.The ideal candidate must be a creative storyteller, data-driven strategist, and growth-focused leader with a deep understanding of digital channels, customer behavior, and market dynamics.Key Responsibilities:Marketing Strategy & Leadership:§ Develop and implement a holistic marketing strategy aligned with business goals.§ Define and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.§ Lead the development of brand positioning and go-to-market strategies across products and regions.§ Provide leadership and mentorship to the marketing team.Brand & Communication Management:§ Build a strong, consistent brand voice across all customer touchpoints.§ Oversee PR, media relations, and corporate communications.§ Manage external creative, digital, and media agencies to ensure brand consistency.Digital & Performance Marketing:§ Own and optimize paid media, SEO/SEM, social media, email, and content marketing.§ Drive lead generation and conversion strategies for B2B and B2C segments.§ Monitor key performance metrics and optimize ROI on all campaigns.Product & Customer Marketing:§ Collaborate with product and customer success teams to create compelling value propositions.§ Drive product adoption and usage through effective marketing strategies.§ Conduct customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing to boost engagement and retention.Market Research & Insights:§ Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform strategy.§ Lead market research, surveys, and brand health tracking initiatives.§ Use analytics to drive decision-making and report performance to leadership.Events & Partnerships:§ Plan and execute marketing events, conferences, webinars, and sponsorships.Support strategic partnerships with co-branded campaigns and joint initiativesRequirements§ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. MBA is a strong advantage.§ 10–12 years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.§ Proven track record of driving growth in a fintech, tech, digital payments, or financial services environment.§ Experience with brand building, digital strategy, and multichannel campaign management.Skills & Competencies:§ Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving.§ Exceptional leadership and team management skills.§ Deep understanding of customer acquisition, retention, and product marketing.§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Data-oriented mindset with a strong grasp of analytics tools and CRM systemsBenefitsCompensation: Base Pay is N2m monthly net plus Other interesting benefits/packages
