JOB SUMMARY

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to work with our engineering and project team. The role includes overseeing the financials of projects within the asset, collaborating with project manager to determine budget and deadlines, tracking each stage of a project to ensure the project stays within the budgetary constraints.
  • The individual has the overall responsibility for relating to the timely and cost-efficient completion of various corporate projects.
  • The role holder shall be responsible for continually monitoring and evaluating each step of a project to ensure that it meets budgetary and deadline goals and assist in setting project budgets, be involved in assembling a project’s team and setting task schedules.
  • He/she shall have the ability to recognize which areas of project development need to be re-addressed to maintain efficiency, schedule and cost control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review project budget and deadlines with project manager.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and progress & cost reports.
  • Forecast project schedules, cost and completion.
  • Create and adjust project budgets.
  • Develop and manage company’s project master schedule and resource plan.
  • Develop and present monthly schedule & cost status reports to management regarding schedule progress (using s-curves), revenue recognition, earned value analysis, forecasting and contract status utilizing MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera, and related software.
  • Manage project progress and productivity of project contractors; monitor and track monthly progress & costs, and change project orders.
  • Monitor project to ensure it meets budget guidelines
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop, manage and monitor project specific budgets, cash flow projections and monthly project financial reconciliation.
  • Responsible for control of work-in-progress, ensures accurate client billings on related projects.
  • Prepare status reports and other related project planning and controls documentation, including the collection, analysis, and presentation of regular information from major contractors.
  • Analyse performance data to establish performance metrics.
  • Coordinate payments to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Develop risk mitigations processes.
  • Compare ongoing project activities with the project management plan and project performance baseline
  • Contribute to selection, training and overseeing project controls team members.
  • Offer coaching and guidance to junior team members

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Knowledge, experience and proficiency demonstrated in all the activities described above.
  • Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse work group of vendors, executive managers, contractors, consultants and other professionals
  • Sound knowledge and experience in ISO Quality Management System.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools, especially Microsoft Projects and Microsoft Excel, project management software.
  • Attention to details and very good cost controls and reporting skills.
  • Flexible schedule.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in engineering, quantities surveying, or related science fields.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience of relevant projects controls work, with 5 years of these being in the field; special consideration will be given to field experience, particularly in the oil & gas fabrication, construction & installation industry.

JOB SUMMARY

  • The Junior Geoscientist provides technical support in the evaluation of subsurface data to aid hydrocarbon exploration, development, and production activities.
  • Working under the guidance of senior geoscientists, the role involves gathering, interpreting, and integrating geological and geophysical data to build reservoir models, identify drilling opportunities, and support field development planning.
  • The position is designed to build foundational expertise in geoscience while contributing to multidisciplinary project teams focused on safe, efficient, and sustainable resource development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Geological and Geophysical Analysis:

  • Good understanding of Seismic interpretation, acquisition, seismic processing and special G&G (Fault seal, pore pressure, AVO, Seismic Inversion) studies methodologies.
  • Support comprehensive geological and geophysical analysis of prospective areas to identify potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.
  • Utilize seismic data, well logs, and geological maps to interpret subsurface structures and depositional environments.

Reservoir Characterization:

  • Evaluate reservoir properties such as porosity, permeability, and fluid saturation using geological and geophysical data.
  • Utilize advanced reservoir modelling techniques to quantify hydrocarbon reserves and predict reservoir performance.

Prospect Evaluation:

  • Generate geological and petrophysical models to support prospect ranking and portfolio management decisions.
  • Assess the economic viability and risk associated with drilling prospects by integrating geological, geophysical, and engineering data.

Drilling Support:

  • Provide technical support during drilling operations by analyzing real-time data and providing geological and geophysical interpretations to optimize well placement and minimize drilling risks.

Field Development Planning:

  • Collaborate with reservoir engineers and production teams to develop field development plans that maximize hydrocarbon recovery and optimize production rates.

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate geological and geophysical data records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Utilize data management systems to organize and archive seismic, well, and production data for future analysis.

Technical Presentations:

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal stakeholders and external partners to communicate project findings, recommendations, and insights effectively.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Knowledge, experience and proficiency demonstrated in all the activities described above.
  • Proficiency in geological and geophysical interpretation software such as Petrel, Kingdom, Techlog or GeoFrame.
  • Strong understanding of seismic interpretation techniques, well log analysis, and reservoir characterization methods.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in upstream oil & gas exploration and development
