Printing Machine Operator- Kano

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Production Setup
- Review the job order and gather required raw materials accordingly
- Clean web patch rollers, printing cylinders (with solvent), and polish using sandpaper (100/200 grit)
- Install or replace doctor blades and load the setup printing roller roll
- Verify all printing machine accessories and load materials as specified
Machine Configuration & Operation
- Set dryer temperature to operational standard
- Start the machine and monitor all systems during production
- Ensure ink viscosity is maintained as per quality standards
Quality Control & Sample Matching
- Compare initial prints against approved samples—check color accuracy, text alignment, registration, and dimensions
- Get QC sign-off before proceeding with full production
- Monitor each printed roll for defects such as poor adhesion, misregistration, odor, or incorrect ink application
Post-Production & Maintenance
- Clean the printing cylinders and machine parts with solvents after job completion
- Unload and properly wrap cylinders in PE film before storing
- Maintain cleanliness in the printing area and prep for the next job
What You Bring
- Previous experience operating flexographic or gravure printing machines in a production environment
- Strong attention to color matching, registration accuracy, and quality inspection
- Ability to follow safety and cleanliness protocols
- Excellent teamwork and readiness for shift-based operations

What You’ll Do
Define Quality Strategy
- Establish and implement robust quality assurance policies, procedures, SOPs, and testing methodologies to meet product and service standards.
Lead and Supervise
- Manage a team of QA specialists, technicians, and support staff, ensuring daily tasks align with strategic quality goals.
Monitor and Inspect
- Conduct regular inspections of processes, products, and documentation to identify and correct inconsistencies or defects.
Analyze and Report
- Interpret quality data and generate insightful daily QA reports to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Training and Compliance
- Deliver staff training on QA procedures and ensure adherence to industry regulations and legal requirements.
Supplier & Interdepartmental Collaboration
- Work closely with suppliers to verify raw material quality and coordinate with production, operations, and other departments.
Customer-Centric Action
- Handle customer complaints related to quality, investigate root causes, and implement effective resolutions.
Production Oversight
- Ensure quality assurance is upheld during online production and verify adherence to SOPs at every stage of the manufacturing process.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Plastic Technology or a related field
- 5+ experience in quality assurance management in a Blown Film or Flexible Packaging Company.
- Strong knowledge of QA frameworks, SOP validation, and compliance standards
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret quality data and take action
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Experience in handling audits, documentation, and daily reporting
