Job Description

  • We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Storekeeper / Logistics Officer to oversee inventory, store operations, logistics activities, and fleet management.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure accurate record-keepingand efficient use of vehicles to support smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities
Store Management:

  • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and safe handling of all items.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels through timely updates of inventory records.
  • Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Keep the store area organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards.

Logistics Management:

  • Plan and coordinate transportation of goods to and from the store.
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and transporters for timely deliveries.
  • Track shipments and update relevant teams on delivery timelines.
  • Optimize logistics routes to reduce costs and ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies on transport usage.

Fleet Management:

  • Manage the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring availability for operations.
  • Schedule regular servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance of vehicles.
  • Keep accurate records of vehicle documents such as insurance, licenses, and roadworthiness.
  • Monitor fuel usage and ensure accountability.
  • Assign drivers and track vehicle movement to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports on fleet performance, costs, and utilization.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory, logistics, and fleet.
  • Monitor stock usage and advise management on reorder levels.
  • Keep proper records for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain documentation for deliveries, vehicle usage, and supplier transactions.

Other Duties:

  • Support procurement team with material requirements and supplier follow-up.
  • Train and supervise store and logistics support staff where necessary.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years proven experience in storekeeping, logistics, or fleet management.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain procedures, warehousing operations, and fleet operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory/fleet management software.
  • Excellent record-keeping, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of ERP or fleet management software.
  • Familiarity with safety, transport, and quality regulations.
  • Ability to lead and supervise drivers and support staff.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
