Job Responsibilities
- To provide first point of contact care to patients, clerk all new cases including taking history, examining the patient and making a diagnosis/provisional diagnosis of illnesses and Injuries as soon as possible
- To provide preventative care and acute care, as well as make referrals to specialists as the patients’ condition indicates and coordinate the participation of specialists in the patients’ treatment
- To carry out procedures under supervision in line with medical privileges
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patients’ encounters.
- Prompt incidence reporting and management of patients’ grievances.
- Provide health education and support to patients and their attendants
- Liaise and work with other medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality care is given to patients
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality
- Comply with the use of Standard Operating Procedures and policies / adherence to quality standards and clinical practice guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.

Educational Qualifications
- MBBS or its equivalent
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, with a valid medical practicing license.
- Valid medical practicing license

Method of Application
- This role is responsible for applying Clinical knowledge and skills in the diagnosis, disease prevention and treatment of patients.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
- Care and management of cardiology cases.(Clinic duties as approved in clinical privilege form)·
- Development and compliance with clinical practice guidelines.
- Case reporting.
- Participate in your departmental quality improvement project.
- Conducting ward rounds and specialist clinics
Key Result Areas/ Performance Goals:
- Basic life support skills
- Teaching, support and supervisory skills (for medical officers and nurses)
Educational Qualifications
- MBBS or its equivalent
- Residency training in Cardiology from a recognized institution
- Valid medical practicing license
Professional Qualification
- Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College in Cardiology or Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians or its equivalent
- Valid medical practicing license
