About the Role
- We are seeking a diligent and organized Storekeeper/Inventory Officer to manage our large-scale store operations within a busy hospitality establishment.
- The ideal candidate will have strong experience in inventory management, stock control, and procurement processes specific to hospitality environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, store, and issue inventory items including food, beverage, cleaning, and operational supplies to various departments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock audits, and update the inventory management system.
- Coordinate replenishment by communicating with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Monitor stock quality, inspect deliveries for accuracy and condition, and handle returns or discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage conditions, hygiene, and safety compliance within all store areas.
- Collaborate with department heads (e.g., Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Maintenance) to anticipate stock needs.
- Manage stock rotation following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to minimize wastage.
- Prepare requisition forms and monitor consumption patterns to optimize inventory levels.
- Supervise store staff, maintaining discipline and productivity as required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field with 2 years experience.
- Previous hospitality experience is highly advantageous.
- Certification in inventory management or relevant training will be a plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience managing large stores or warehouses in a hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of inventory and stock management systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, and quality control standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Basic IT skills and proficiency in inventory software or databases.
