Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accurate and timely bookkeeping and account reconciliation
- Manage billing for a large volume of subscription-based services
- Maintain robust inventory records and support procurement alignment
- Lead forecasting and preparation of monthly management reports
- Handle tax reporting, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory filings
- Support both internal and external audits
- Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Use and improve financial systems such as Zoho, Xero, or equivalent tools

Your Responsibilities
- Be a culture and values champion across Fieldbase teams
- Develop and manage HR systems to support hybrid and international operations
- Administer HR software and ensure employee records are up to date
- Lead performance management processes across teams
- Partner with department heads to forecast and recruit top talent
- Onboard new staff and manage full employee lifecycle processes
- Prepare and deliver regular HR reports: attendance, performance, engagement, and happiness metrics
- Coordinate payroll, HMO, and company benefits administration
- Work with internal teams to design and implement training programmes
- Liaise with HR business partners supporting Fieldbase in Nigeria and overseas
- Support culture initiatives and internal events that reinforce engagement and alignment
- Ensure compliance with labour regulations and internal HR policies
- Familiarity with UK HR practices is desirable and beneficial for future growth
Who You Are
- 2–4+ years experience in a structured HR role
- Tech-savvy and experienced with HRIS platforms
- Clear communicator with strong organisational skills
- Proactive, process-driven, and always looking to improve systems
- Able to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism
- Familiar with Nigeria’s labour laws; exposure to UK HR practices is a plus
- A collaborative team player who can work across departments and borders
