Instrumentation Technician

Job Summary

  • Responsible for the installation, calibration and maintenance of instruments and control systems used to measure and regulate process variables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain sensors, transmitters, control valves and analyzers.
  • Calibrate instruments to ensure accurate readings of pressure, temperature, level and flow.
  • Troubleshooting and repair instrumentation faults and signal transmission problems.
  • Assist in loop checks and control system testing during commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with instrumentation standards and safety requirements.
  • Keep detailed maintenance and calibration records
  • Support engineers in system upgrades and automation projects.

Requirements

  • OND, Technical Diploma, or Trade Test in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and calibration within a process, power, or industrial plant.
  • Good knowledge of sensors, transmitters, control valves, and troubleshooting of PLC/DCS-based systems.

Job Summary

  • Carries out routine and preventive maintenance tasks, assists in troubleshooting equipment, and supports smooth operation of plant systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment checks, lubrication, and minor maintenance activities.
  • Support in troubleshooting mechanical/electrical/instrumentation issues.
  • Assist during start-up, shutdown, and maintenance of TG/Boiler units.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety practices.
  • Record maintenance activities and report issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in proper condition.

Requirements

  • OND, Technical Diploma, or Trade Test in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • 2 – 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in an industrial setting.
  • Good knowledge of motors, control panels, wiring, and safety practices.
