Position Summary

  • The Fleet Officer who will be responsible for routine maintenance, timely refurbishment & setup of all Gamma Mobility Assets.

Key Responsibilities

Major Documentations

  • Document Health Checks for all vehicles brought into the Gamma Mobility workshops for maintenance.
  • Ensure all costs relating to vehicle refurbishment are documented correctly to aid in the repricing of terminated assets.
  • Document Assessment records for all terminated assets.

Fleet Maintenance

  • Ensure that all Vehicles scheduled for maintenance come in for servicing                                 
  • Maintain detailed records of vehicle maintenance and servicing                                    
  • Work with the fleet manager to improve checklists and maintenance routines          
  • Supervise the technicians and ensure they carry out their job functions satisfactorily

Fleet Refurbishment

  • Responsible for the management of all terminated assets                                                         
  • Assess all vehicles and determine the refurbishment requirements                                   
  • Analyse the cost for refurbishment for action by the Fleet Manager                                  
  • Ensure timely recertification of all terminated assets to meet SOP requirements                                                                                                    

Fleet Setup

  • Responsible for the timely set up of New Vehicles.                                                       
  • Responsible for all processes from the initial delivery of vehicles until the vehicle is onboarded.
  • Liaise with required 3rd party contractors to handle welding, branding and other required processes to ensure vehicles are set up within the specified period.       
  • Liaise with the Documentation team to ensure that Vehicle plate numbers, insurance and other documentation are delivered appropriately to ensure timely onboarding without any glitches.
  • Responsible for following up on the setup process until the vehicle is onboarded

Administrative Function

  • Create and fill out job cards for any vehicle that is brought for preventive maintenance to any location
  • Create and manage records of all terminated assets passed on for refurbishment
  • Document all refurbished vehicles and ensure that adequate data is provided for pricing and onboarding

Requirements

  • BSc. /HND in transport management, mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Possession of Strong organizational skills
  • Must have managed a fleet of vehicles
  • Possession of technical certifications will be an advantage
