Fitness Trainer
Job Summary
- The Fitness Trainer is responsible for creating and implementing personalized fitness programs for clients, providing guidance on proper exercise techniques, ensuring safety during workouts, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
- The trainer motivates clients to achieve their fitness goals through consistent support, progress tracking, and a positive, professional attitude that aligns with the values of Fitness+.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness assessments to evaluate clients’ current physical fitness levels and establish personalized goals.
- Design and implement safe and effective workout programs tailored to clients’ individual needs, goals, and abilities.
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques to ensure client safety and effectiveness of training sessions.
- Monitor clients’ progress, provide regular feedback, and adjust programs as needed to optimize results.
- Motivate and inspire clients to stay committed to their fitness journey.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workout environment.
- Educate clients on proper nutrition, lifestyle habits, and recovery techniques to complement training programs.
- Enforce gym rules, regulations, and safety policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, continuous professional development, and promotional activities.
- Keep accurate records of client attendance, performance, and session notes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of OND/NCE in Human Kinetics, Physical Education, Exercise Science, or related field (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Certification in Personal Training or Fitness Instruction from a recognized body (e.g., ACE, NASM, ISSA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Fitness Trainer or Personal Trainer in a gym or wellness center.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, exercise physiology, and nutrition principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage clients of all fitness levels.
- Professional, punctual, and passionate about fitness and wellness.

Salary
N130,000 – N150,000 / month
