• You’re experienced in financial management ideally in the Gas industry.
• You’re an expert in treasury management, budgeting, corporate performance, and financial risk management, ensuring optimal financial operations.
• You’re skilled in financial reporting and compliance, with a track record of managing audits, tax obligations, and internal financial controls.
• You’re analytical and data-driven, using financial insights to inform strategic decision-making.
• You’re a strong communicator and leader, capable of engaging with bankers, auditors, and senior executives to optimize financial strategies.
• You’re a certified finance professional, holding a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with ACCA, ICAN, or CFA certifications.

Your responsibilities…

• You will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, efficient budget management, and regulatory compliance.
• You will lead treasury and tax functions, managing cash flow, foreign exchange, and tax audits while ensuring timely remittance of VAT, WHT, PAYE, and corporate taxes.
• You will drive budgeting and forecasting, preparing financial statements and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• You will manage internal and external audits, addressing audit inquiries and implementing financial controls to protect company assets.
• You will ensure regulatory and statutory compliance, keeping the company aligned with industry and legal requirements.
• You will develop financial reporting systems, maintaining the integrity of accounting software and processes.
• You will optimize cost management, tracking expenditures and improving financial efficiency.
• You will supervise asset management, ensuring accurate documentation and reconciliation of fixed assets.
• You will train and mentor finance teams, fostering a high-performance culture within the department.

To be considered, you should have…

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, or CFA.
• 8–10 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the Gas and Utilities industry.
• Expertise in treasury operations, tax management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in real-time cloud-based accounting packages and Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
