Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including the Profit & Loss account, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow statements.
  • Manage daily financial operations, including payments, receipts, and reconciliations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and proper documentation of all financial transactions.
  • Monitor cashflow and advise management on financial risks and opportunities.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and ensure full compliance with audit requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and statutory regulations (FIRS, PAYE, VAT, WHT).
  • Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Support procurement and expenditure control processes to ensure value for money.

Qualifications & Skills

  • HND / B.Sc Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years proven experiencein a finance officer or similar role.
  • Strong financial analysis capability.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent cashflow management skills.
  • Strong financial reporting and reconciliation abilities.
  • Good understanding of tax laws and statutory compliance requirements.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel is an added advantage.
