Finance Manager
Overview of the Role
- We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the financial management, planning, and reporting functions of Farm Warehouse. The role will oversee budgeting, financial strategy, compliance, and treasury operations while ensuring the company maintains sound financial health and transparency. The Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, managing investor and partner reporting, and strengthening financial controls as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of financial policies, systems, and internal controls.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and performance monitoring reports.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and payroll.
- Ensure timely preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct financial analysis to support management decisions and strategic planning.
- Monitor and optimize cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Oversee tax compliance, statutory filings, and audit processes.
- Coordinate donor and investor reporting in line with grant and funding agreements.
- Support capital-raising activities by providing financial models, projections, and due diligence materials.
- Supervise the finance team, ensuring capacity building and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- An MBA, MSc Finance, or a recognized professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, or CFA) is a strong advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5–7 years progressive experience in finance, accounting, or investment management, preferably within agribusiness, fintech, or impact-driven sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, reporting, and budget management.
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, Power BI).
Skills:
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent financial modeling and forecasting abilities.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, taxation, and audit procedures.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to organizational excellence.
