Farmer Field School Facilitators
FOURCi’s is seeking a proactive, skilled, and passionate Farmer Field School Facilitators to lead the implementation of a new project aimed at training farmers on climate-smart practices in Adamawa State. The officers will work closely with community stakeholders, CSOs, government actors, and project beneficiaries to ensure the smooth implementation and success of the project’s activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Farmer Field School sessions with smallholder farmers, ensuring active participation and knowledge sharing.
- Train farmers on climate-smart agricultural practices, soil and water conservation, and improved crop management.
- Mobilize and support farmer groups to adopt sustainable, community-driven solutions.
- Document field activities, collect data, and report on lessons learned.
- Strengthen links between farmers, food security actors, and extension services.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Previous experience working with farmers, agricultural extension, or rural communities.
- Good facilitation, communication, and community engagement skills.
- Familiarity with climate-smart agriculture and participatory training methods.
- Possession of a Farmer Field School Facilitator Certificate will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to work in rural field locations; ability to ride a motorcycle is an added advantage.
