Experienced Real Estate Business Development Manager
- We are seeking an aggressive and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to spearhead our Land Sales division and support our premium Short-Let management portfolio in Lagos. We specialize in premium Land Sales and high-quality Short-Let Property Management. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in expanding our market share for land sales, optimizing our short-let property portfolio, and leading a high-performing team of realtors.
- This is a high-impact role requiring deep local market knowledge, exceptional leadership, and a proven ability to close high-value land deals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Growth (Primary Focus)
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve aggressive sales targets for land acquisition and sales across key areas in Lagos State.
- Identify, pursue, and close high-value land sales deals, managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
- Expand the company’s network of clients, investors, and strategic partners.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities in both land sales and short-let management.
Realtor Management and Training
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of realtors/sales associates to maximize their performance and ensure consistent adherence to company standards.
- Set clear performance metrics, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement incentive structures to motivate the sales team.
- Develop and conduct training sessions focused on effective land sales techniques, property knowledge, legal compliance, and ethical business practices.
Short-Let Management Support
- Collaborate with the property management team to identify high-potential properties for the short-let portfolio.
- Develop strategies to optimize occupancy rates and revenue generation for managed short-let properties.
- Ensure a high standard of client and guest satisfaction for short-let services.
Reporting and Administration
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on sales performance, market analysis, and business development initiatives for senior management.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to drive optimal ROI from business development activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Estate Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of demonstrable, hands-on experience in Land Sales within Lagos State is mandatory.
- Leadership: Proven track record of successfully managing, mentoring, and motivating a team of realtors or sales professionals.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Lagos real estate market, particularly in land transactions, documentation, and the regulatory environment. Familiarity with the short-let/hospitality sector is a strong advantage.
- Residency: Must be currently resident on the Lagos Island or it’s environs.
