Exhibition & Market Experience Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, innovative, and people-driven Exhibition & Market Experience Manager to oversee the planning, launch, execution, and growth of an exhibition across key Nigerian cities.
This individual will lead market exhibitions that serve thousands of customers monthly — ensuring seamless coordination of vendors, logistics, branding, consumer experience, and safety across all market activations.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end management of the events across cities
- Plan market layout, vendor allocation, logistics flow, branding, and customer experience design
- Manage logistics including venue setup, equipment, transport, storage & crowd control
- Oversee on-site staff, security teams, cleaners, cash management, POS/QR systems & product stocking
- Ensure regulatory compliance, safety, hygiene standards & seamless visitor movement
- Create and manage budgets, event timelines, supplier contracts & procurement activities
- Collaborate with marketing teams to drive attendance, media exposure, and community engagement
- Track performance and KPIs — footfall, sales volume, customer satisfaction, vendor feedback
- Execute post-market reporting, feedback cycles and continuous improvement
- Develop SOPs and scalable processes for market operations in multiple cities
- Represent the brand and uphold service excellence at all touchpoints
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Admin, Marketing or related field
- 3–5 years experience in event/exhibition management, FMCG activation, retail rollout or market operations that has seen over 20,000 attendees.
- Proven experience managing large-scale events or field activations
- Strong vendor & stakeholder management experience
- Excellent project management and logistics planning skills
- Ability to lead field teams, manage budgets, negotiate contracts & work under pressure
- Creative problem-solver with eye for details and strong operational discipline
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel across states for market operations
Bonus (Highly Advantageous)
- Experience working with FMCG distribution networks or modern trade
- Worked in festival/event production, marketplace activations, food fairs, or mobile retail programs
- Background in financial inclusion, cooperative programs, or microfinance field work
