Role Overview

The ESG/HSE Manager will lead the development and execution of the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda while ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. The role involves shaping sustainability initiatives, managing regulatory obligations, driving stakeholder engagement, and building a strong organisational safety culture.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ESG strategies, frameworks, and performance metrics aligned with global standards.
  • Drive environmental sustainability programs, including waste management, energy efficiency, and resource conservation.
  • Oversee HSE policies, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
  • Conduct environmental and safety risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead training, awareness, and culture-building initiatives across ESG and HSE areas.
  • Prepare ESG and HSE reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with regulators, community stakeholders, and partners on ESG and compliance matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Sustainability, HSE Management, or related discipline (an advantage).
  • Strong hands-on experience in ESG implementation, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or similar.
  • Experience in agribusiness, manufacturing, or related industries is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
