Electrical Engineer (Power Project)
Job Summary
A dynamic and reliable Electrical Technician who will join our team for a large-scale power project involving transformers. This role will involve supervising installation, maintenance, and repair of power transformers, as well as other electrical equipment within the power grid.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation of power transformers and associated equipment.
- Ensure routine inspections and testing of transformers.
- Monitor the functionality of BTS.
- Prepare quotation for installation of transformer and connection to the national grid and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults.
- Operate and monitor power substation equipment, including transformers.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and equipment condition.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals.
- Oversee the installation and loading of Prepaid meter with token purchased on behalf of clients.
- Reconciliation of Electric prepaid meter bills and of PPM on sites.
- Have records of all prepaid meters number and time record of when prepaid meter were installed.
- Ensure compliance with the Fiberhub clients using our internet services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years\’ experience in electrical work and power projects.
- Strong understanding of transformer operation and maintenance.
- Experienced in grid installation and project knowledge.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
