The depot manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plastic products depot, ensuring accurate receipt, storage control and dispatch of goods. The role carries full custodial responsibility for depot stock, access control, and transactional accuracy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Act as the overall custodian of all stocks in the warehouse.
2. 100% physical counting and verification of all inward and outwards movements of goods.
3. Approve LTIs for all goods received from the factory.
4. Conduct period stock taking and reconcile variances.
5. Approve GRNs & LTOs for goods moved from the depot to the factory
6. Verify and approve damaged goods prior to entry in the system.

DEPOT OPERATIONS

1. Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods at the depot.
2. Ensure strict access control, keeping all depot doors and access points closed and secured at all times, except during authorized inward and outward movements.
3. Ensure orderly storage, correct identification, and safe handling of products within the depot.

INVENTORY & STOCK CONTROL

1. Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies immediately.
2. Ensure proper stacking, space utilization, and handling to prevent damage or loss.
3. Maintain accurate and timely records of all inventory transactions.
4. Be accountable for loss, damage or shortages arising from control lapses.

CUSTOMER SERVICE & ORDER FULFILLMENT

1. Ensure all customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time
2. Carry out line-by-line verification of Sales Orders against the Picking List prior to dispatch.
3. Address customer complaints or issues related to deliveries and availability

STAFF MANAGEMENT & TRAINING

1. Supervise and manage depot staff & workers
2. Assign duties and ensure adherence to work schedules, discipline and handling procedures.
3. Intervene and resolve operational or staff-related issues within the depot.
