Cost Engineer
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining cost estimates for engineering projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Creating and managing project budgets, and monitoring financial performance.
- Monitoring and analyzing project costs, identifying cost variances, and taking corrective actions.
- Preparing and delivering cost reports, including variance analysis and cost forecast updates.
- Working closely with project managers within the project management office (PMO), engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost objectives are met.
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures, including value engineering and alternative materials/methods.
- Identifying and assessing potential cost risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and securing favorable pricing.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cost engineering processes, best practices, and industry standards.
- Others duties/tasks as maybe assigned by your line manager.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 3 – 5 years work experience.
