Chief Security Officer
Job Summary
- Our client is seeking to hire a Chief Security Officer (CSO) who will beresponsible for the overall safety and security of guests, employees, and property within the apartment.
- The role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing security strategies, risk management policies, and emergency response plans to safeguard the organization against internal and external threats.
- The CSO will lead the security team to maintain a secure and welcoming environment in line with the highest standards of the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols tailored to the hospitality environment.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Oversee the integration of security technologies (CCTV, access control systems, fire alarms, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulatory requirements, and industry standards for hotel security.
- Lead, train, and supervise the security team to deliver efficient and professional security services.
- Monitor daily security operations to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and assets.
- Establish and maintain incident reporting, investigation, and documentation procedures.
- Collaborate with department heads (Housekeeping, Front Office, etc.) to ensure smooth coordination of safety protocols.
- Develop and implement crisis management and emergency response plans (fire, medical emergencies etc.).
- Conduct regular emergency drills and staff training.
- Serve as the primary contact for law enforcement, regulatory bodies, and emergency responders.
- Ensure guest privacy and safety while maintaining a hospitable and discreet security presence.
- Implement theft prevention and loss control measures.
- Safeguard the hotel’s intellectual property, digital systems, and confidential information.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive security management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality or corporate sectors.
- Advanced military/security training is an added advantage.
- Must be an Ex-Military, Navy, or Air Force Officer.
- Professional certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), or equivalent are preferred.
- Proven experience in crisis management, risk assessment, and liaison with security agencies.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies, access control systems, and surveillance equipment.
