Financial Accounting and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee and manage inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate recording of stock levels, costs, and valuations.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to minimize wastage and discrepancies.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Monitor and control operating expenses across all locations to ensure financial efficiency.
Compliance and Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Prepare and submit tax returns and other statutory filings accurately and on time.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required.
Financial Analysis and Strategy:
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for financial improvement and efficiency across the business.
- Assist in financial planning, risk management, and business growth strategies.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide training and support to staff on accounting best practices and financial systems.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on inventory management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working in a multi-location retail or food service environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
