Cargo Deals Invoicing and Terminal Statistics Specialist
Responsibilities
Invoicing & Revenue Assurance:
- Prepare and validate invoices for cargo handling, storage, and related terminal services in line with approved tariffs and agreements.
- Ensure that billing is accurate, timely, and aligned with service delivery records.
- Monitor all cargo deal entries and reconcile discrepancies with relevant departments.
- Collaborate with the finance and commercial teams to ensure all revenue is captured and accounted for.
- Address client queries related to invoices and provide clarification where necessary.
Cargo Deal Management:
- Maintain up-to-date records of all cargo-related transactions, contracts, and service levels.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to confirm service deliveries.
- Track and report on cargo volumes, billing trends, and performance against commercial targets.
Terminal Coordination Support:
- Liaise with terminal operations and control teams to ensure alignment between cargo movement and invoicing.
- Assist in ensuring that terminal services related to cargo are performed in accordance with contract terms and agreed KPIs.
- Ensure that cargo movement documentation (e.g., manifests, gate-in/gate-out records) is accurate and supports invoicing.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal SOPs, and client agreements.
- Generate periodic reports on cargo deal invoicing status, revenue assurance metrics, and outstanding accounts.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Maritime Studies, Logistics or related field.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in terminal operations, shipping, or invoicing roles within the maritime or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of cargo billing processes, port tariffs, and shipping documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/terminal billing systems (e.g., Navis, SAP, TOS).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
