Job Summary:
A well-established British International School in Ikeja, Lagos is seeking a diligent, honest, and detail-oriented Store Assistant to support the efficient management of the school’s store and inventory systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and keeping accurate records of supplies and equipment used across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure accurate quantity and quality of items.
- Properly store all supplies and materials in an organised and secure manner.
- Issue supplies and materials to departments based on approved requisitions.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory software.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies or low stock levels to the Store Supervisor or Administration.
- Assist in preparing purchase requests and stock replenishment reports.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in the storage area.
- Label and tag all stored items correctly for easy identification and tracking.
- Monitor expiration dates and condition of perishable or sensitive items (e.g., lab supplies, food items).
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance with internal control standards.
Job Requirement:
- Experience working in a school or educational institution.
- Good numeracy and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel and stock management software.
- Physically fit and able to handle lifting and moving of goods.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of procurement or logistics processes.
